Chatting about silk with Moreno Ferrari

It is internal, hidden, not visible, only perceptible but who would dare to deny its importance?

This is the idea that the T.Silk Team took during the meeting with Moreno Ferrari* one of the most innovative and transversal designers in fashion and design. An intense conversation during which we discussed silk, our world, the possible visions for T.Silk Silk Padding .

A meeting that had the HEART as the protagonist:

We have lost sight of the heart . We have forgotten what it means to know and value the heart of our manufacturing, we have lost our history , our traditions . We must recover what we are... what we are known for in the world: our craftsmanship , our knowledge accumulated over the years, our ability to create from these foundations something unique, historical and at the same time technologically and technically forward-looking. We must start again from our territory, make it fruitful in a new vision that can represent that image of style, fashion, design, attention to detail that every part of the world recognizes in us. We must seek, we must recover, we must, even if sometimes hidden, reveal the heart

Enhance…Reveal the heart

Unfortunately, the padding of an item of clothing , a duvet , a quilt , or an accessory is perceived, precisely because it is not visible, as a secondary element, an irrelevant part of the product.

This consideration explains the flourishing of synthetic products of essentially petroleum origin with very low levels of technical performance, increasingly equipped with recycling certifications, in compliance with pressing trends of presumed ecological respect, as if the recycling of a polluting element made it less polluting.

Or indefinite mixtures in terms of quantity and quality of various natural/synthetic/artificial fibres which, accompanied and/or masked by effective marketing policies, guarantee a limited price.

Or feather…feather…feather when, especially now, one is no longer able to distinguish feather from feather, perceive its quality, provenance and the processes, often polluting, to which it is subjected.

T.Silk is Heart

The T.Silk project increasingly aims to be the rediscovery and valorization of the beating heart of an item of clothing, of a duvet, of a padded quilt, of an accessory, of that thermo-regulating , natural , ecological , sustainable element with very high levels of performance that, even if hidden, animates, governs and characterizes an item of clothing and the person who wears it.

Thanks to Moreno Ferrrari for this opportunity for reflection and vision, in the certainty that it can be an important first step in future collaborations to rediscover the heart that only a natural padding in Silk is able to reveal.
