History of silk and graphite
Two elements,
silk and
graphite, which find unexpected meeting points in history: Plinio il Vecchio 23 - 79 AD speaks in one of his writings of a dyeing system with a very precious dark colored mineral to obtain a certain type of grey, graphite grey. The same Plinio il Vecchio who in Naturalis Historia described the "wise" Mulberry tree. That wisdom that Leonardo da Vinci took as the basis of his work, in the fresco of the Sala delle Asse (Milano Castello Sforzesco), with twelve mighty mulberry trees to pay homage to Prince Ludovico Sforza

microfibre with an average thickness of 10/11 microns: extremely fine, soft and impalpable. The application of a lamellar powder, such as
graphite, works on the single fibrous element, opening it and creating spaces between one fiber and another, increasing the perception, upon contact with the skin, of softness and comfort
5 Wellbeing for the skin
The typical and innovative treatment of T.Silk
satin allows the precious silk proteins,
Sericin and Fibroin, to be made available, two natural proteins compatible with the elements that constitute the epidermis, the hair and the human body and for this reason highly curative. The g_powder treatment, through the use of only natural elements
(graphite grey powder), significantly mitigates the enormous risks to our body and our health relating to exposure and prolonged contact with significantly harmful chemical-based dyes.
6 Comfort and thermoregulation
Silk is a thermoregulating fibre, cool in summer and warm in winter, it keeps the body temperature constant through a natural activity of balancing the humidity level, with rapid release of only excess water vapor outside. The
graphite powder accentuates this natural functional characteristic of silk, making this benefit more homogeneous on the surface of the fabric.
7 UV Protection
The
graphite powder and the g_powder treatment allow an increase in protection from UV rays.
Sericin, a silk protein, has a high photoprotective capacity and has an anti-Tyrosinase action which combats the excessive production of melanin and elastase caused by UV rays, which causes flaking of the skin surface and loss of its elasticity.

silk satin fabric derives directly from silk production and cultivation which, thanks to the maintenance of its agricultural component (cultivation of the mulberry tree), allows us to maintain an ecosystem capable of fixing it in the ground, eliminating from the atmosphere, considerable quantities of
CO2 (accurate studies speak of 750 KG of CO2 eliminated for every kg of silk produced). The
graphite powder, made up of a natural element such as carbon, through the g_powder process, is not sent to a landfill but recovered with a criterion of valorization of the final product, in terms of real sustainability
